What is on the site when it comes back

All of it written from the one sentence you type. All of it yours to change afterwards, in plain English.

The jobs you take on
Rewires, fault finding, EV chargers, extra circuits, safety checks for landlords, whatever you told it. Written up in the words people search with, not the words on your invoice.
The towns you cover
Named, so a caller two towns over knows before they ring rather than after.
Your call-out hours
The line that decides whether a Sunday evening caller rings you or the next name down.
A contact form that emails you every enquiry
Straight to your inbox. No dashboard to check and nothing sitting in a portal.
Photographs that suit the work
Chosen for the trade so the site is not empty on day one, and swapped for your own the moment you have them.
Your own domain, registered and set up
Part of the price, not an extra. If you already own one, connect that instead.
Hosting, the SSL certificate and updates
Included, running, and nothing for you to renew or configure.

Questions

What does it cost?

$20 a month, once the site is live. That covers the site, the hosting, the SSL certificate and your domain name. There is no setup fee, no add-ons, no contract and nothing charged per enquiry.

Is it really free until it is live?

Yes. You build it and read every page of it without paying anything. Payment is for putting it live on the internet on your own domain.

Most of my work is word of mouth. Why do I need this?

Because a recommendation gets looked up before it gets acted on. Someone passes your name on, the next thing that happens is that name typed into a phone, and what comes back decides whether they ring you or the name under you. Whatever you want that page to say is what it says: put your registration and your insurance in the box and they are on it, in your words, though nothing is verified or awarded for you.

I already pay for leads. Is this not the same thing?

The opposite way round. A leads site charges you for an enquiry that went out to other trades as well, and the page it lives on belongs to them. This is your own address and your own enquiries, at the same price whether you win two jobs this month or twenty.

Do I need to be any good with computers?

You need to be able to type a sentence. Changes afterwards are made in plain English, not in a design tool, and nothing has to be saved in the right format.

Do I need a domain already?

No. A domain name is part of the price, registered and set up for the site. If you already own one, connect that instead.

What happens to my domain if I leave?

Ask for it and it moves to whatever registrar you want. There is no notice period and nothing to argue about. You are not locked in.
